I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
